Jesus loved telling stories. One day, he told this one: a man was walking on a long dusty road when robbers hurt him and left him there.
A priest walked by. He saw the man… and crossed to the other side. Another man passed. He looked… and hurried away.
Then a traveler from Samaria arrived. People said he was different, a stranger. But he stopped.
He knelt down, cared for the man's wounds, carried him on his own donkey, and took him somewhere safe. He even paid for someone to look after him.
"Who was a true neighbor?" Jesus asked. "The one who was kind," they answered. Jesus smiled and said, "Go and do the same."
